POETRY WRITING
This is my fun side coming to the fore. Here I can be creative and funny and have a play around with the information the client gives me. If it is for something more formal and serious, I take all your information and make it a most memorable poem. And the beauty of a poem? It’s unique and timeless and you will always have it to look at and treasure.
Below are a couple of verses from a poem I did for a couple’s joint 50th birthday. The wife, outgoing and a body pump instructor, husband Mark the quiet type and their two children are Scott and Kirsty. All the family have a great sense of humour so I had a lot of fun putting this together.

Catherine and Mark, a Happy Birthday to you,
May all your wishes and dreams come true.
Saying you’re 21 years old is indeed very clever,
The rate you are going, you will live forever.
Catherine, our friend, such a fine athlete,
Those pump classes you take are working a treat.
Mark handsome as ever and not even a grey hair,
That Grecian 2000 does the trick every year.
If you start losing the plot,
Plan B is in hand,
It’s all taken care of,
for the Rest Home is planned.
Scott and Kirsty have booked you in well in advance,
They couldn’t afford not to leave it to chance.
The rooms are there, one for each of you,
By then you’ll have forgotten just who is who.
You’ll be fed and watered and changed every day,
Then Scott and Kirsty can go out and play.
May all your wishes and dreams come true.
